Food Sovereignty for the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara People
This spring 2023 professional seminar series invites Native scientists, engineers, activists, community members and leaders to share their personal and professional journeys, providing inspiration to the next generation of change makers. The March 1, 2023, 12:00-1:00 MST seminar is Ruth Plenty Sweetgrass-She Kills, speaking on food sovereignty for the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara People.
The seminars are co-sponsored by the Department of Biosystems Engineering, the UArizona-Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership, the Water Resources Research Center, the NSF-NRT Indigenous Food, Energy, and Water Security and Sovereignty, and the Indigenous Resilience Center.
