Join Cal Poly Humboldt’s Dr. Cutcha Risling Baldy (Hupa, Yurok, and Karuk) for a Zoom presentation on Monday, October 9th. The speaker will highlight Indigenous methodologies employed to intervene in Food, Energy and Water Systems (FEWS) crises. Dr. Risling Baldyʼs research focuses on Indigenous Feminism, California Native Studies, and Decolonization. In her recent award-winning book, We Are Dancing For You, Risling Baldy looks into the vitalization of women’s coming-of-age ceremonies that highlight Indigenous perspectives in academia and beyond. This hybrid lecture (virtual or in-person) is open to the public.
